A couple of friends and I are organising a candlelight vigil in Rockford Il to try and raise public awareness of the genocide being committed in Sudan. If you live in the Rockford area, and would like to lend your support, or would like to learn more about what is going on in Darfur, please come and join us.
I feel so proud and yet . . . I look at the poster and nowhere do I see individual names. There is no ‘personality’ attached to this endeavour. No ‘self’ is involved in this, no ‘me’, no ‘I’.
I have a relationship with one of the ‘persons’ behind this, and therefore I can do nothing but feel pride.
What I see is an objective ‘good’ and that, I believe, is the true nature of something ‘good’.
Still I cannot help it, I AM proud!

This is a problem that does not even get mentioned in England. No word. Not even a poster in Oxfam. What should be done is what you are doing. Increasing awareness of everything that goes on our tiny floating blue marble. Good luck and I wish I were there.
