Cartoons

Below are some simple, yet extremely good cartoons by the Romanian illustrator Dan Perjovschi (website here), as part of his exhibition ‘What happened to us’ at the New York Museum of Modern Art.

“(He has) a profound ability to respond to his context, he deploys irony to comment cuttingly on local and global politics, economics, and culture.”

His drawings are excellent in their simplicity and I’m looking forward to see where his work goes from here. He has a pulpit of sorts and he might be able to do a lot of good from it.
